About

About the PDF to PowerPoint

Turns each page of a PDF into a slide in a PowerPoint (.pptx) presentation — the design as the slide background, the text as real, editable text boxes — right in your browser.

Presenters use it to turn a PDF-only slide deck they received into an editable PowerPoint file they can actually update, while teachers use it to convert a PDF handout into slides for a lesson. It's one of many free PDF tools on Toolapt, and like every tool here, it's free to use with no sign-up and no limit on how many times you run it.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers to common questions about the PDF to PowerPoint.

What does PDF to PowerPoint do?

It turns each page of a PDF into a slide in a PowerPoint (.pptx) presentation, with the page's text as editable text boxes on top of its original design.

Is PDF to PowerPoint free to use?

Yes. It's free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many files you convert.

Is my file safe when I use this tool?

Yes. The conversion runs entirely in your browser, so your PDF never leaves your device — nothing is uploaded, stored or seen by anyone.

Will the slides be fully editable afterward?

The text is: every line becomes its own text box you can retype, restyle or move. Backgrounds, shapes and pictures are combined into one background picture per slide, so they can't be edited individually. Text uses Arial, so it may look slightly different if the PDF used another font.

What is the "Exact look" option for?

It puts each page in as a single full-slide picture, so the slides look exactly like the PDF — useful for presenting a PDF as-is, but the text isn't editable.

What if my PDF was never a slide deck to begin with?

It still converts — every page becomes one slide at the page's own size — but the result works best when the source PDF already has a slide-like layout, one idea per page.

Does PDF to PowerPoint have any limitations?

Scanned pages have no real text, so they go in as pictures — run them through OCR PDF first if you need the text. A password-protected PDF needs to be unlocked first with the Unlock PDF tool.
