About
Paste an array of JSON objects and get a spreadsheet-ready CSV back instantly. It scans every object in the array first to collect the full set of keys, so if some records are missing a field, the CSV still lines up correctly under the right column instead of shifting everything sideways.
The input should be an array of objects, like [{"name":"Ada"},{"name":"Grace"}]; a single object becomes a one-row CSV. Nested objects and arrays aren't flattened into extra columns — they're written into their cell as JSON text — and any value that contains the delimiter, a quote or a line break is wrapped in quotes so spreadsheets read it correctly.

Paste [{"name":"Ann","age":29},{"name":"Bo","age":31}] and convert to get a name,age header followed by Ann,29 and Bo,31 — 2 rows, 2 columns.
Paste [{"name":"Ann","age":29},{"name":"Bo"}] and Bo's missing age becomes an empty cell, so the row reads Bo, with nothing after the comma, instead of shifting sideways.
Paste [{"city":"Paris","population":2148000}] with the delimiter set to semicolon to get city;population followed by Paris;2148000 — handy for European Excel.
[{"name":"Ada","tags":["math","code"]}] gives the header name, tags and the row Ada,"[""math"",""code""]" — the whole array stays together in one cell.
FAQ
Quick answers to common questions about the JSON to CSV Converter.
Paste your JSON array above, make sure "JSON to CSV" is selected as the direction, then click Convert. Everything runs in your browser — nothing is uploaded anywhere.
The converter collects the union of every object's keys across the whole array first, so records with missing fields still get an empty cell in the right column instead of throwing off the row.
Yes — each object in the array becomes one CSV row, and its keys become the column headers. A single object or a deeply nested structure won't convert cleanly.
Yes. Pick comma, semicolon, tab or pipe from the delimiter dropdown before converting.
Yes. It's free, with no sign-up and no limit on how much data you convert.
Yes — the same tool handles both directions. Switch the dropdown, or use the dedicated CSV to JSON converter page.
They're written into a single cell as JSON text, so a tags array of ["a","b"] becomes one cell containing ["a","b"]. Flatten the data first if you need each nested value in its own column.
Any value containing the delimiter, a double quote or a line break is wrapped in double quotes, with quotes inside it doubled — the standard CSV escaping that Excel and Google Sheets expect.
Yes. A single object is treated as a one-row array, so you get a header row plus one data row.
Copy the output and paste it into a sheet, or save it as a .csv file and open it. If you want a ready-made spreadsheet file instead, the CSV/JSON to Excel Converter turns the same JSON into a downloadable .xlsx.
