Photographers use it to mark proofs before sharing them with a client, while online sellers and content creators use it to add a copyright notice or brand name to images before publishing. It's one of many free image tools on Toolapt, and like every tool here, it's free to use with no sign-up and no limit on how many times you run it.

Examples

Image Watermark examples

3 worked examples

01

A proof for a client

Typing "© Jane Doe Photography" at 44px in the bottom right at 55% opacity marks a 1600×1067 proof clearly without hiding the photo underneath.

02

A tiled anti-theft watermark

Choosing "Repeat across image" with "BRIGHTLEAF" at 30% opacity tiles the name at an angle across the entire photo, making it far harder to crop the watermark out.

03

A bold product-photo stamp

Setting the watermark to "SAMPLE" at 120px, full opacity and centred stamps a large, unmissable notice across a product preview image.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers to common questions about the Image Watermark.

What does the Image Watermark tool do?

It stamps a text watermark — your name, a copyright notice or a brand — onto a photo, with control over its position, size, opacity and colour.

Is the Image Watermark tool free to use?

Yes. It's free, with no sign-up, no watermark of its own on the output beyond the one you add, and no limit on how many times you use it.

Is my image safe when I use this tool?

Yes. The watermark is drawn entirely on your own device using your browser's built-in Canvas API — your photo is never uploaded to a server.

Can I make the watermark repeat across the whole image?

Yes. Choose "Repeat across image" from the Position dropdown to tile the watermark text over the entire photo rather than placing it once in a corner or the center.

Can I control how visible the watermark is?

Yes. The Opacity slider goes from barely-there to fully solid, so you can make it as subtle or as bold as you want.

Does adding a watermark reduce my image's quality?

No. The watermark text is drawn on top of your original image; the underlying photo pixels outside the text itself are untouched.

Can I use the Image Watermark tool on my phone?

Yes. The page is fully responsive and works on mobile, tablet and desktop browsers alike.

Does the Image Watermark tool have any limitations?

It adds a single text watermark at a time; it doesn't currently support uploading a logo image as the watermark itself.
