About
Convert one or more iPhone HEIC or HEIF photos to lossless PNG files that open in almost any app. Every photo is converted in your browser, so nothing is uploaded.
HEIC is the format iPhones and iPads use for photos by default, but most browsers, older Windows apps and many websites still can't open it. PNG opens almost everywhere, and because it's lossless, a photo won't lose any more detail when you edit and re-save it. That makes it a good fit for retouching a picture or placing it in a design. The trade-off is size: a PNG is usually a few times bigger than the HEIC it came from, so HEIC to JPG is the lighter choice for email or sharing. This page loads a small decoder from this site the first time you convert, then does all the work on your device. Each PNG keeps the photo's full resolution, while location and camera details aren't copied across.

Five .heic files from a camera-roll export become five separate PNG downloads, each reported on its own row.
A burst file named IMG_0450.heic that holds three images gives IMG_0450-1.png, IMG_0450-2.png and IMG_0450-3.png.
FAQ
Quick answers to common questions about the HEIC to PNG Converter.
Upload one or more iPhone HEIC or HEIF photos above and click Convert. PNG is already selected as the output format, so each file downloads as a lossless .png.
Yes. Add photos one at a time or several at once, drag more in whenever you like, and remove any one from the list before you click Convert. Photos are converted one after another on your device, so a big batch takes longer.
Yes. It's free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many photos you convert.
PNG is lossless, so it keeps every decoded pixel exact and loses nothing when you edit and re-save it. JPG gives a much smaller file, which suits sharing better than editing.
HEIC uses very efficient lossy compression, while PNG stores the pixels without losing any of them. A detailed photo therefore takes up more space as a PNG, often a few times as much.
No. An iPhone HEIC photo is already compressed, so a PNG can't bring back detail the HEIC doesn't have. It does keep the photo exactly as decoded and prevents any further loss.
Yes. The conversion runs entirely in your browser, so your photo never leaves your device — nothing is uploaded, stored or seen by anyone.
You get one PNG per image, numbered in order, such as IMG_0450-1.png and IMG_0450-2.png, each with its own Download button.
No. The PNG is drawn from the photo's pixels only, so EXIF data such as GPS location and camera model isn't carried over.
Yes — use the dedicated HEIC to JPG converter, or switch the format dropdown above to JPG.
