It's one of many free designer tools on Toolapt, and like every tool here, it's free to use with no sign-up and no limit on how many times you run it.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers to common questions about the Colour Palette Generator.

What does the Colour Palette Generator do?

It builds a palette of hex colours from a base colour, using a colour-wheel relationship you choose.

Is the Colour Palette Generator free to use?

Yes. It's free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many times you use it.

Is my input safe when I use this tool?

Yes. Every colour is calculated entirely on your own device — nothing is sent to a server.

What's the difference between the schemes?

Analogous picks colours near each other on the colour wheel, complementary picks colours from opposite sides, triadic spreads them evenly around the wheel, monochrome varies only lightness, and random ignores the base colour's hue entirely for each swatch.

What format are the colours in?

Every colour is shown and copied as a 6-digit hex code, such as #3B82F6.

Can I start from a specific brand colour?

Yes. Type or paste any hex value into the base colour field before generating the palette.

Can I use the Colour Palette Generator on my phone?

Yes. The page is fully responsive and works on mobile, tablet and desktop browsers alike.

Does the Colour Palette Generator have any limitations?

It only accepts standard 3- or 6-digit hex colours as the base, and builds palettes of up to 10 colours at a time.
